Chen Cashes Diamonds In

Andrew Chen took down a very nice pot to move up into second on the leader board.

Mario Puccini opened to 200,000 from under the gun and was called by Chen and Davidi Kitai in the blinds en route to a {5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} flop.

Kitai led for 325,000 and both players called to the {q-Diamonds} turn. Here it was Puccini who bet, for 650,000. Chen called but Kitai folded king-eight.

The river was {2-Spades} and Chen led out for 625,000 with {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}. Puccini tanked and folded {9-Spades}{8-Spades}.

From under the gun, Andrew Chen raised to 210,000 with the {Q-Spades}{8-Spades}. [Removed:284] called with the {J-Hearts}{8-Hearts} from the big blind and the flop came down {J-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}. [Removed:287] check-raised all in after Chen bet 235,000 and took down the pot.

From under the gun and holding {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} Davidi Kitai opened to 235,000 and Mario Puccini decided to make the call with {j-Clubs}{10-Spades} in the button. Andrew Chen looked down and found {a-Spades}{7-Clubs} in the hole and tried his luck with squeeze to 760,000.

Kitai stared down Chen for a few moments before reaching for a couple of towers of yellow chips totalling 1,385,000, a rare four-bet. This folded out Puccini and Chen made the correct fold.

A Cagey Restart

[user169806] • Ниво 30: 50,000-100,000, 10,000 ante

Since the players have returned from their break with few hands making it to the flop. We thought there would have been some action when the rank amateur [Removed:284] opened to 250,000 with {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} but none of his opponents had anything to play back at him with.

At the moment the cards are just not matching up and causing battles, hopefully that will change shortly.

Martin Jacobson - 8th Place in High Roller
Martin Jacobson - 8th Place in High Roller

The EPT Berlin €10,000 High Roller just lost Martin Jacobson in eighth place for €26,400.

With just a few minutes left in the 2,000/4,000/500 level, Jacobson raised from under the gun to 8,000 and Tobias Reinkemeier reraised all in for 66,000 from the hijack seat. Action folded back to Jacobson and he made the call with the {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}. Reinkemeier held the {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}. The flop, turn and river ran out {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and the tens held for Reinkemeier to give him the double up.

With that loss, Jacobson was kicked back to just 46,000 in chips and in the big blind on the next hand when Viktor "Isildur1" Blom opened to 8,500 from under the gun. On the button, David Peters took his time and then flat-called. When it was up to Jacobson, he raised all in for 45,500. Blom folded and Peters made the call after thinking for a minute.

Peters held the {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for a flip against the {3-Clubs}{3-Hearts} for the at-risk Jacobson. The {Q-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Spades}{A-Hearts}{10-Clubs} board gave Peters a full house and knocked out Jacobson in eighth place. The remaining seven players have now locked up €29,700.

Very shortly after the elimination, the level jumped up to 2,500/5,000/500. After this hour level, the players will take a one-hour dinner break. Below are the chip counts following Jacobson's bust.
