Lucky Sevens for Yan Send Warburton Home in 22nd

[user153638] • Ниво 21: 6,000-12,000, 2,000 ante

A short-stacked Steven Warburton shoved all in from the cutoff for 213,000 and [Removed:17] looked him up from the small blind.

Warburton: {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Yan: {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}

It was a flip, but not after the flop came down {10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}. Yan flopped a set and left Warburton drawing to running cards. The {A-Diamonds} turn paired Warburton, but it actually left him drawing dead. The inconsequential {K-Spades} was run out on the river for good measure and Yan was pushed the pot.

Warburton, who bubbled this very event last year, finished in 22nd place.

Stray Katz

• Ниво 21: 6,000-12,000, 2,000 ante

On a flop of {10-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} Nicky Katz checked to Andy Moseley who bet 22,000. Tudor Purice called but then Katz check-raised to 60,000 from the big blind.

Moseley folded but Purice called to see the {8-Spades} turn. Katz now bet 76,000 but Purice called once more to see the {A-Hearts} on the river.

This time Katz bet 108,000 and Purice called. Katz showed {10-Spades}{2-Hearts} but found himself outkicked when Purice flipped {J-Clubs}{10-Hearts} for a better kicker.

Steen's Chips Gobbled Up by Geilich

[user153638] • Ниво 21: 6,000-12,000, 2,000 ante
Yngve Steen
Yngve Steen

Action folded to Ludovic Geilich on the button and he opened for 24,000. Yngve Steen was in the small blind and opted to commit his last 206,000, which prompted the big blind to fold. Geilich clearly didn't have a hand he was fond of and tanked for nearly three minutes before making the call.

Steen: {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Geilich: {k-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

Steen got it in good, but Geilich was drawing to two live cards. That made it a 60/40 situation, and Steen's position only got stronger as the {q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop failed to help Geilich. The dealer then burned and turned the {K-Spades}, which was a dagger through Steen's heart. Geilich paired his king and left Steen in need of either an ace or ten on the river to stay alive.

The dealer burned one last time and put out the {3-Spades}, the last card Steen would see in the EPT10 London Main Event before exiting in 23rd place.

Ryan Yu
Ryan Yu

Unfortunately we missed the hand, but we can confirm that Ryan Yu was eliminated on the very first hand back from the break, which occurred in the closing minutes of last level.

"What am I gonna do?" we heard Yu joke with a friend. He then indicated that he had {8-}{7-} suited. Whatever went down, one thing's certain - Yu was the EPT10 London Main Event 24th-place finisher.

Time for a Redraw and a Break

[user153638] • Ниво 20: 5,000-10,000, 1,000 ante

The elimination of Jamil Kanji leaves just 24 players left in the field. They'll now redraw down to the final three tables, but since we're so close to the scheduled break, the players will have a 20-minute recess.
