Bruno Kawauti, who finished 15th in the 2013 WSOP Main Event and was the "Last Brazilian Standing," raised to 700 from middle position and received a call from Xuan Liu in the big blind. When the flop came down , Liu checked and Kawauti bet 900. Liu woke up with a check-raise to 2,400, Kawauti shoved all in for 9,475, and Liu called.
Both players had flopped top pair, but Kawauti's kicker had him way out in front. The turn actually paired that kicker, and Liu was drawing dead. The meaningless was put out on the river for good measure, and then Kawauti was pushed the pot.
