Day 3 of the 2014 World Series of Poker Asia-Pacific AU$10,000 Main Event has come to a conclusion with just 18 players remaining.

Beginning the day with 70 players, everyone was hopeful of first reaching the money-paying top 36 before making a run at building a stack as play headed towards the final table. Jonathan Duhamel, Jeff Gross, Kyle Cheong, Jonathan Karamalikis, Harry Demetriou, Dennis Huntly, Eddy Sabat, Heinz Kamutzki, Dylan Hortin, Kahle Burns, Brian Rast, and Byron Kaverman all found themselves on the rail short of the money, though, and the money bubble was soon realized.

Unfortunately, it would be Kasra Bakhshaee who would earn the moniker of "bubble boy" after three-betting all in with the {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts} and being called by Ang Italiano's {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}. The board ran out {3-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{A-Spades}{10-Diamonds} to see Italiano make a straight and send Bakhshaee home empty handed.

With players in the money, eliminations mounted quickly as Yu Kurita (36th), Sam Higgs (32nd), Xuan Liu (31st), Jamie Pickering (30th), Sam Cohen (26th), Aaron Lim (24th), Mikel Habb (23rd), Shane Warne (22nd), and Tobias Reinkemeier (20th) all took home a piece of the prize pool before play concluded for the night.

Victor Teng bagged the chip lead with an impressive 1,854,000 in chips after steamrolling the field throughout the day. Local player Jason Giuliano was down to just a few big blinds once in the money, but he made a huge run and sits in second with 1,203,000, while Day 2 chip leader Kyle Montgomery is the only other player sitting with seven figures as he finished with 1,196,000.

WSOP bracelet winners Frank Kassela (783,000), Gary Benson (458,000), and Alexander Antonios (127,000) still remain in the hunt, while three ladies are still alive with JJ Liu (431,000), Jackie Glazier (300,000), and the aforementioned Italiano (256,000) still in contention.

However, the major story is Brandon Shack-Harris as he continues to keep the WSOP Player of the Year race alive after finishing sixth place on the chip counts page with 648,000. If he can keep the momentum going and finish first or second in this event, he will again take the lead back from George Danzer and capture the honors.

Play is set to begin on Thursday at 12:30 p.m. local time with the PokerNews Live Reporting team providing all the live updates as the field plays down to the final table of six.

Dylan Kehoe Eliminated in 19th Place (AU$23,441)

Dylan Kehoe - 19th place
Dylan Kehoe - 19th place

After tripling up a few hands earlier with queen-high, Dylan Kehoe moved all in for 41,000 from the cutoff and Scott Davies iso-shoved from the small blind.

Kehoe: {A-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}
Davies: {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}

The board ran out {6-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and Kehoe was eliminated in 19th place for an AU$23,441 payday.

Tobias Reinkemeier opened to 18,000 from under the gun and Henry Szmelcer three-bet the hijack to 44,000. Reinkemeier four-bet to 90,000 and Szmelcer moved all in for 360,000 with Reinkemeier calling all in for 305,000.

Reinkemeier: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}
Szmelcer: {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}

With Reinkemeier in disastrous shape, the {9-Spades}{4-Clubs}{A-Spades}{6-Clubs}{K-Spades} board would ensure Reinkemeier's elimination in 20th place - just in time for the German to enter the High Roller event on the other side of the room.

Kehoe Crippled

[user80015] • Ниво 18: 4,000-8,000, 1,000 ante

From early position, Dylan Kehoe opened to 16,000 and was called by Jason Giuliano and Alexander Antonios as the flop fell {4-Clubs}{10-Spades}{K-Diamonds}.

Giuliano bet out 45,000 and only Kehoe called as the turn of the {3-Diamonds} was checked through. The river landed the {J-Diamonds} and following a Kehoe check, Giuliano bet out 126,000 with Kehoe calling.

Giuliano tabled his {A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for the nut flush and Kehoe mucked his hand while being crippled to just 25,000.

Five More Hands

[user80015] • Ниво 18: 4,000-8,000, 1,000 ante

The tournament director has just announced that there will be five more hands tonight before play concludes.

Shao Liu Eliminated in 21st Place (AU$23,441)

[user80015] • Ниво 18: 4,000-8,000, 1,000 ante
Shao Liu - 21st place
Shao Liu - 21st place

Shao Liu opened the hijack to 17,000 and Tobias Reinkemeier called in the big blind to see a {Q-Clubs}{A-Spades}{K-Clubs} flop. Reinkemeier checked to Liu who moved all in for 115,000 with Reinkemeier instantly calling.

Liu: {A-Hearts}{J-Spades}
Reinkemeier: {J-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

With Reinkemeier having flopped a straight, Liu would need some help to stay alive, and when the {6-Hearts} landed on the turn, he was drawing to just a chop with one of the three remaining tens.

Unfortunately for the ex-Crown Poker Room dealer, the river landed the {Q-Hearts} to end his tournament in 21st place for an AU$23,441 payday.

Shane Warne Eliminated in 22nd Place (AU$23,441)

Shane Warne
Shane Warne

The action folded to Victor Teng and he raised to 20,000 from the button. One seat over, Shane Warne three-bet to 46,000 and Gary Benson folded in the big blind. Teng pushed his stack of T-25,000 chips forward to put Warne all in and the latter called it off for what looked around 320,000.

Warne: {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}
Teng: {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}

The 888poker pro was in great shape to double up and put another dent into the massive stack of Teng, but lady luck had other plans. On the {J-Spades}{8-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} board, Teng improved on the flop and sent Warne to the rail in 22nd place for a payday of AU$23,441.
