No-Limit Hold'em

Two more eliminations to report. Matthew Ashton has gone out in 40th place. And Jared Bleznick soon followed him to the rail in 39th.

In Bleznick's elimination hand, he had reraised all in with his last 31,000 from the hijack seat, then it folded to Abe Mosseri in the big blind. Mosseri didn't have much more than Bleznick, and so had to think just a beat before making the call.

Mosseri {K-Hearts}{2-Hearts}
Bleznick {A-Spades}{4-Diamonds}

Mosseri was behind, but after the five community cards came {J-Spades}{10-Clubs}{9-Spades}{Q-Spades}{J-Diamonds} he'd drawn a straight to knock out Bleznick.

Mosseri is still super short, though, with just 90,000.

Some for Ahmed

Ray Dehkarghani completed with the {3-Hearts} up, Owais Ahmed raised with the {4-Clubs}, and Dehkarghani called. Ahmed then bet each of the next three streets, with Dehkarghani calling each time. Both then checked on seventh.

Dehkarghani: (X)(X) / {3-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Spades} / (X)
Ahmed: (X)(X) / {4-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{5-Spades}{7-Clubs} / (X)

Ahmed showed his down cards -- {7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Hearts} for two pair and no low. Dehkarghani showed the {Q-Spades} he'd picked up on the end first, then his {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts} -- he'd ended with just a pair of sixes and no low.

Ahmed scooped the pot, and is now at about 840,000. Dehkarghani, meanwhile, has 340,000.

Limit Hold'em

Jon "PearlJammer" Turner raised with the button, Gus Hansen called from the small blind, and Roman Yitzhaki called in the big. The flop came down {3-Spades}{3-Hearts}{j-Hearts}, and Hansen led out. Yitzhaki called, Turner raised, and both Hansen and Yitzhaki called.

The turn was the {a-Spades}, and the action checked to Turner who bet. Only Hansen called.

The river was the {q-Clubs}, Hansen check-called one last bet from Turner, and Turner tabled {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades} for a flopped full house. Hansen mucked, and Turner pulled in the pot.

2-7 Triple Draw

Roman Yitzhaki raised from under the gun, Robert Williamson III reraised from one seat over, and it folded back to Yitzhaki. He four-bet, Williamson called with his remaining chips, and the drawing commenced.

Yitzhaki took two the first round and Williamson one. Both players then drew one each on the second and third draws.

Yitzhaki showed {7-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{2-}. Meanwhile Williamson had {7-}{5-}{4-}{3-} and was looking for a deuce to survive. But RW3 picked up a {4-} and has been eliminated. Yitzhaki, meanwhile, is up to 680,000.

2-7 Triple Draw

Minh Ly raised in the small blind, Matt Glantz re-raised from the big, and Ly called. Ly drew two, Glantz drew one, and Ly check-called a bet from Glantz.

On the second draw, both players took one, and Ly led out. Glantz called.

Ly patted, Glantz drew one, and Ly bet out again. Glantz called. Ly tabled {8-}{6-}{4-}{3-}{2-}, Glantz mucked, and Ly is now above 600,000 chips.

2-7 Triple Draw

Vladimir Shchemelev raised on the button, and Matt Glantz defended his big blind. Glantz drew three, Shchemelev drew one, and Glantz check-called a bet.

On the second draw, Glantz drew two, Shchemelev drew one, and Glantz check-called another bet.

Both players drew one on the final draw, and then checked. Glantz fanned {8-}{7-}{4-}{2-}{2-} for a pair of deuces, and Shchemelev flashed two {4-}'s then mucked.

Pot-Limit Omaha

Four players. About 25,000 in the middle. Flop {2-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}.

Jon Turner (SB), Gus Hansen (BB), and Robert Williamson III (EP) all checked to David Oppenheim in late position who bet 21,000. The blinds got out, then Williamson check-rasied to 81,000. Oppenheim reraised again, and that's when Williamson removed his earbuds, announcing he was reraising all in with his remaining stack. Oppenheim quickly made the call.

Williamson: {J-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
Oppenheim: {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{7-Spades}{7-Hearts}

The {6-Clubs} came on the turn, filling up Oppenheim. "That's it," said Williamson as the meaningless {5-Hearts} fell on the river. The pair were fairly close in chips when the hand began, but a count revealed Williamson still had tourney life with about 30,000 left. Meanwhile, Oppenheim doubles to about 470,000.

Quad aces are good, but could the pot have been bigger?
Quad aces are good, but could the pot have been bigger?

Pot-Limit Omaha

Michael Binger limped from under the gun, Justin "Boosted J" Smith raised to 27,000 on his direct left and Minh Ly re-raised to 96,000 from the hijack seat. Binger called, Smith four-bet all in for 119,500, and both Ly and Binger called.

The flop came down {4-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}.

From here, things get a little murky. Apparently, tablemate Matt Glantz made a comment either about the hand, or Ly after Ly had made a bet. Binger folded, and Ly was furious with Glantz because he believed that Glantz's comment induced action.

We heard Ly yell something about the side pot, and said he would "bet Glantz $100,000 that he had quad aces."

Smith was waiting for Ly to turn up his hand for the better part of two minutes, and he wasn't lying about the quads.

Ly: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{j-Clubs}{6-Spades}
Smith: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Diamonds}

Seeing that he was drawing dead, Smith began packing his things in preparation of an exit. The turn and river came {8-Hearts}, {q-Hearts} respectively, and Smith was eliminated.

The argument lingered after the hand, and despite rocketing to about 500,000 chips, Ly was still angry about not getting more chips from Binger.
