Paez Doubles

After Vadzim Kursevich raised to 16,000 from under the gun, Raul Paez reraised all in for 29,000 from the small blind. Kursevich made the call holding the {8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. Paez held the {K-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}.

The {K-Spades}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs} gave Kursevich a leading two pair, but the {Q-Diamonds} turn and {Q-Hearts} river counterfeited him and Paez was able to double up.

Scott Doubles Through Williamson III

On the {A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop, Robert Williamson III bet 38,000. His opponent, Austin Scott, made the call and the turn brought the {2-Spades}. Williamson fired 105,000 and Scott called.

The river completed the board with the {5-Spades} and Williamson checked. Scott moved all in for 132,000 and Williamson called.

"Please don't have a five," said Williamson.

Scott turned over better than just a five with the {7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts} for a full house. Williamson showed the {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{9-Hearts} for two pair.

Steve Merrifield Eliminated in 17th Place ($13,292)

Galen Kester opened with a raise to 26,000 and Romik Vartzar called from the hijack seat. Action then folded over to Steve Merrifield in the small blind and he reraised all in for 95,000 total. Action folded back to Kester and he tanked for a minute before giving it up. Vartzar thought, then called.

Vartzar held the {6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and Merrifield the {A-Clubs}{10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}.

The flop {9-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts} kept Merrifield in front, as did the {Q-Spades} on the turn. The {5-Clubs} on the river, though, gave Vartzar a winning two pair and busted Merrifield in 17th place.

Erik Seidel was all in preflop with the {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{10-Spades}{7-Diamonds} against Khiem Nguyen's {A-Hearts}{9-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades}.

Seidel flopped a Broadway straight on the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts} flop, but Nguyen was able to turn a flush with the {2-Hearts}. The river completed the board with the {5-Clubs} and that ended the tournament for Seidel in 18th place. He took home $13,282 for his finish.

Kursevich Leads The Final 18

Welcome to Day 3 of Event 26, the $3,000 Pot-Limit Omaha. A field of 589 players is down to just 18, each with hopes of capturing the coveted World Series of Poker gold bracelet.
