Action folded around to the player on the button and he made it 14,000 to go. John Monnette was in the small blind and cut out a three-bet to 28,500. The big blind folded and the button thought for about 30 seconds before tossing out a call.

The two saw a flop of and Monnette continued for 22,000. This bet sent his opponent into the tank for well over two minutes. All of the while, Monnette sat motionless except for the riffling of some chips. Ultimately, Monnette's opponent kicked his cards in and Monnette was pushed the pot. His stack is now up to about 550,000.

With play resuming, action was fast and furious and close to 20 people busted on the first few hands meaning the tournament directors wanted to take a few moments to catch up, make sure they had everyone collecting their correct payout while also balancing and breaking tables as needed.
